Non-Executive Director or Trustee First Role Course

Secure Your First Board Role – or Explore What Comes Next

As a senior leader, you may be considering a Non-Executive Director or Trustee role, exploring a portfolio career, or looking to understand how your skills and experience can create opportunities beyond your current executive position.

This coaching programme helps you gain clarity on your next steps to prepare successfully for your first Board appointment.

Together, we will help you identify where you can add most value, define your Board proposition and build a practical plan to achieve your goals.

By the end of the programme, you will have:

  • Clarity about your future direction and whether a Board career is right for you.

  • A professional Board-ready CV.

  • A compelling Profile Statement that clearly articulates your experience, strengths, values and the contribution you can make as a Non-Executive Director or Trustee. This becomes the foundation for your applications, LinkedIn profile, networking conversations and interview preparation.

  • Strong interview preparation, including practice for a range of recruitment formats and tailored interview answers.

  • A practical understanding of governance, Board responsibilities and how your executive experience translates into a Board environment.

  • A personalised Board career plan covering your first appointment and your longer-term aspirations.

  •  A clear action and networking plan to help you build visibility, credibility and momentum.

Whether you are looking for your first Board appointment, considering a portfolio career, or simply exploring what comes next, we will provide the challenge, support and practical guidance needed to move forward with confidence.
